Hearth & Ledger was founded by planners who were tired of watching good people pay for products they didn’t need.
We started with a simple idea: advice should be paid for by the person receiving it.
Most financial advice in America is still paid for by commissions or by a percentage of your assets. Both quietly reward the advisor for selling you more, or for keeping your money where it is.
We charge a flat, published fee and nothing else. That lets us recommend paying off the mortgage, buying the index fund or doing nothing at all — whatever is actually right for you.
